Pedro Moreno Improv Acrylic Painting Class

  • The Welcome Project 2936 Colerain Avenue Cincinnati, OH, 45225 United States (map)

The Welcome Project, an art and food-based social enterprise run by and for Cincinnati’s refugee and immigrant community, is pleased to begin an artist residency program that will feature refugee and immigrant artists through an exhibition and related public educational programs.

Pedro Moreno is The Welcome Project’s first featured artist. Moreno will exhibit a series of his paintings and ceramic works during the month of June and host this public art class where he will teach his craft of improvisational acrylic painting. Join us during this event to meet and work with Moreno. All materials will be provided.

Pedro Moreno lives and works in Cincinnati and is originally from Bolivia. He paints to fertilize his imagination and to project both his memories and perspective. He was recently selected as the 2019 Movement Artist of the Year by the Cincinnati Interfaith Workers Center. Moreno’s work will remain on exhibition at The Welcome Project through July 6th.
