Support Wave Pool

Since 2015, Wave Pool has made the arts a force for change in Cincinnati communities. Your support sustains our artist residencies, workshops, and programs serving artists and neighbors. I'm Boris Oicherman, Executive Director of Wave Pool, and I'd love to talk with you about joining us in this work—reach me at boris@wavepoolgallery.org.

Three Ways to Support Us:

1) Join as a monthly supporter at $10-50: Most people served by Wave Pool can't write a $1,500 check. But many can give $25 a month. If we had 50 people doing that, we could keep our ceramics program free. If we had 100, we could plan exhibitions a year out. This is how we'd like to sustain our work: supported by the community we serve, at whatever level works for you.

2) Give $1,500 or more: Gifts at this level receive one of Sheida Soleimani's tulips from our 9th Welcome Edition in recognition of your donation. Sheida created 100 cast aluminum tulips representing the first 100 people killed in the protests following the death of Mahsa Amini in police custody in 2022. Each individual sculpture rests on hand-hewn Tulip Poplar wood featuring Soleimani’s artist stamp, and was made by refugee artisans of Heartfelt Tidbits. Red tulips are a long-standing symbol of martyrdom in Iran, and the names of protestors are inscribed on the leaves in Farsi and English. 3) Purchase a Shahzia Sikander ceramic tile: Our 10th Welcome Edition: 20"x17" hand-built ceramic bas relief wall pieces, designed by internationally renown artist Shahzia Sikander and crafted by immigrant and refugee women in Cincinnati. The work features two intertwined female figures, rooted yet migratory, vulnerable yet resilient, that appear throughout Shahzia's practice. Edition of 25 unique tiles, signed and numbered, $7,500 each. This edition was produced in collaboration with ArtWorks, sales support both organizations.
