IRiS Alloy Series: Comida y Historia: Exploring Personal Histories through Taste and Smell

Join us for the IRiS Alloy Series, a meeting of minds in curious conversation.

Don’t miss out on the next Alloy! The next event is co-organized by the Wave Pool Gallery . The focus of this participatory discussion will be on “Comida y Historia: Exploring Personal Histories through Taste and Smell”, with culinary aperitifs served by Stephanie Gonzalez, cocktails for purchase from the Welcome Project, and live poetry by Ashley-Devon Williamston. The Alloy Discussion will be followed by a live drag performance organized by Smoke & Queers to accompany Rachel Rampleman’s project Life Is Drag currently on exhibit in the Wave Pool Gallery.

The in-person version of this event is limited-engagement by RSVP only. To claim a (free!) spot, reserve your ticket here. Doors will open to ticketed guests at 7 PM, the discussion itself will begin at 8 PM, and the drag show will begin at 9 pm. Proof of vaccination or a negative test result from a recent COVID test will be required for entry. For those unable to attend in person, we will also be streaming the conversation live on our social media platforms. Tune in to watch the event and contribute questions using either YouTube or Twitter
