Mthuthuzeli Zimba, a 2022 Artist in Residence at Wave Pool, will give a talk for the University of Cincinnati’s School of Art, as part of their Visiting Artist Lecture Series.

Zimba, a master’s candidate at the University of Cape Town is an interdisciplinary artist who is passionate about storytelling. His work explores black identity, space, and marginalization. Zimba believes in performances of transgression and disruption as a way of creating dialogue to confront and address unresolved socio-political issues that plague South Africa and the contemporary world.
