"The Healing Power of the Art.

For me, more than what I want to say with my work, it’s what I feel with it. What’s important for me is the physical sensations, the feelings, and emotions that my work provides to me. It is a space for intimacy with me, myself and I. A place to meditate and reflect, a moment of relaxation and inner peace. Playing with the clay and the colors in a process of creation, allows me to stay present in the present moment, which is by itself a very rewarding experience. I do recommend you try whatever you want to create.
My work is very simple: I like to recreate my favorite paintings in ceramic, with clay and glazes. The process of my work is equally simple: I started the design on a computer. Sometimes, I recreate the whole painting, other times just a fragment of it. And many other times I mix elements from many different ideas. When I know what I want to do (more or less, there is always room for improvisation), I start with the clay like you star in front of a blank paper, or blank canvas. With the clay I create the physical form of the piece, the body. Through the process of the
ceramic technique, I am transcending to other levels of creation. With the glaze
colors I enter into the soul of the piece. Every piece has its own inspiration of the present moment, and that is, the most fascinating moment in the process for me.” - Nuria Mora
