A Welcome Diversion: Collecting Public Input for the revision of the Welcoming Standard

We worked with Welcoming America to help them revise their Welcoming Standard at the National Immigration Integration Conference. Artists Monica Andino and Calcagno Cullen collaborated to create an interactive life-sized game board that asked integral questions to help revise the standard.

Participants engaged in writing, drawing, and voting activities to partake in the process, having conversations with the artists and each other as they completed the tasks.

In the end, they received a ‘Welcomer Card’ designed by Monica Andino.
